Integrating sustainability into entrepreneurship programs ? The use of new teaching models in higher education institutions for sustainable entrepreneurship education and its value for organizations

The objectives of the project aim at responding to research gaps identified in the state of the art in terms of sustainable entrepreneurship education inside of higher education institutions and outside them.
Above all, my project will aim at exploring papers about sustainable entrepreneurship education to construct a literature review about the field. The next steps will consist to investigate two dimensions necessary to construct teaching models for the sustainable entrepreneurship field: the learning outcomes of a program which are planned to be mastered by students and the pedagogies used to achieve them. Finally, my project will address the work market, and especially organizations in their way to value sustainable entrepreneurship education.
In this thesis, a 4 steps-research will be leading:
- to better understand the state-of-the art of literature about sustainable entrepreneurship education field and to question novel research avenues -Article 1: “Inventory”;
- to catch information about the sustainable entrepreneurship learning outcomes expected by educators and those reported by students in sustainable entrepreneurship programs in higher education institutions – Article 2: “Matching” ;
- about the pedagogical methods permitting to enhance students’ motivation to pursue in sustainable entrepreneurship – Article 3: “Efficiency” ;
- and lastly, about the adequation of competences behind sustainable entrepreneurship programs with organizations in the Belgian work market – Article 4: “Relevance” .
